More than a decade has passed since the release of Avatar and finally, its sequel is coming out soon putting Jake Sully and Neytiri back to the spotlight as they start a family in Pandora. Avatar: The Way of Water promises a new perspective of Pandora and everyone is invited to experience it in a new featurette. Avatar: The Way of Water gets a new featurette released by IMAX as they invite everyone back to where it all started, in Pandora, and experience it once more in the upcoming sequel which is set ten years after the first movie. It also dive deep into the thoughts of the cast for the release of the movie. Sam Worthington who plays Jake Sully has nothing but praise to director James Cameron saying, “That’s what Jim is very good at, he’s very good at upping the ante.”
Worthington added, “He was very good at ‘we’re gonna add children into this love story, we’re gonna increase the planet and what we see of it.’ If you think you’re going in and seeing a rehash of the first movie, it’s not, it’s an extension.” Playing Neytiri, Zoe Saldaña hypes up the release of Avatar: The Way of Water, The first film was a discovery of the forest, a discovery of Pandora on your Banshee. It was unlike anything any of us had ever seen. And now it’s The Way of Water, and it’s a world all on its own and I felt like I was rediscovering Pandora all over again.” Sigourney Weaver, who will portray a new role in Avatar: The Way of Water as Kiri, said, “One of the things I love about this film is that you’re introduced to the kids and the story, of course, is about how the family will change.”

With only a few days left before the release of Avatar: The Way of Water in theaters, the sequel continues to ramp up its marketing, targeting to level with the first Avatar movie or even do better, and should it live up to its expectations, Avatar may even become one of the biggest film series to date. Avatar: The Way of Water follows Pandora ten years after Avatar and they are faced with a new threat from the humans while Jake and Neytiri do everything in their power to keep their family safe from harm. Avatar: The Way of Water dives deep into Pandora in theaters on December 16, 2022.
