From the comics to his MCU debut, and given the nature of the character being from the ocean, it’s no surprise that Namor is half naked throughout his appearances, and this is made official for his on-screen arrival on Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, but fans noticed something wrong. After getting the fans thirsting over Namor following a behind-the-scenes clip online of Tenoch Huerta in his Namor costume, the fans of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever noticed that there has been a major digital alteration on the crotch area of Namor. While it may be something that could be set aside, some fans caused a stir online calling out Marvel and Disney on this decision to edit out the crotch area of Namor instead of leaving it as it is. One fan even noted that it is the same thing that the studio did to Richard Madden in the 2015 Cinderella. Here are some of the fan reactions to the digital alteration on Namor’s crotch area in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever:
Namor is one of the oldest characters from the Marvel comics dating back to 1939 and since then, he is known for only wearing a green underwear with golden scale embellishments on his body, carrying with him a trident signifying his leadership on Atlantis.

While the MCU did not go to the direction of Atlantis being Namor’s place, Marvel Studios introduced to the franchise the Talokan kingdom which lived underwater for almost 500 years after the tribe drank a potion from a flower growing on a glowing rock underwater. In Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Namor wears his traditional Talokan suit with touches of the Mesoamerican culture, most notably the Mayan culture, and he continues to don the same thing from the comics with the green underwear.
