The upcoming Chainsaw Man reveal was announced during Japan Expo 2022 which happened in France from July 14 to July 17, 2022. This news was shared by the AnimeTV Japan Twitter account. While the Tweet did not reveal more information on what type of Chainsaw Man info fans should expect, it did state that the reveal will be made during Crunchyroll Expo which will happen from August 5-7, 2022. A Chainsaw Man anime-related announcement at Crunchyroll Expo wouldn’t be too surprising, especially considering the event’s guest lineup. The event will be attended by staff from MAPPA, including executive producer Makoto Kimura and CEO Manabu Otsuka. This isn’t the first time that MAPPA executives have attended an event to share details. Earlier this month at Anime Expo 2022, a Chainsaw Man panel revealed some new information about the series. Though in the panel, there was no trailer or release date announcement. Given this, fans should keep their expectations in check for the upcoming Crunchyroll Expo as we might still not get a new Chainsaw Man trailer. Chainsaw Man is an upcoming anime series by MAPPA, the studio behind Jujutsu Kaisen and Attack on Titan: The Final Season. It is based on the manga of the same name by Tatsuki Fujimoto which was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from December 2018 to December 2020. Recently, Part 2 of manga started with the release of Chapter 98 on Jump+ in Japan and Manga Plus internationally. Given its popularity, Chapter 98 drew over 3 million views in under 24 hours. The series also trended on Twitter in several countries. Currently, there’s no word yet on an official release date for the Chainsaw Man anime. But MAPPA has indicated that the series is targeting a 2022 release.
