Now, it seems like the studio has finally come to its senses and the Skrulls are finally embracing their villainous side in Secret Invasion. The upcoming Disney+ series which is based on the critically-acclaimed 2008 comics storyline is centered on a group of Skrulls who have infiltrated the planet for years and pose a threat to mankind.The show, top-billed by Samuel L. Jackson will see the MCU debut of Emilia Clarke whose character remains a huge mystery. Not even the official trailer offered hints regarding the character she plays although speculation has been running high since her casting was announced that she is playing the Skrull Queen. However, it looks like that isn’t the case as the folks over at Disney themselves may have spoiled her true role.The official Secret Invasion page on the GIF-sharing site Tenor lists the Star Wars and Game of Thrones actress as Abigail Brand, a character a lot of fans have been dying to see in the billion-dollar franchise. In the comics, Brand is the director of SWORD, a subdivision of SHIELD that made its debut in WandaVision that handles extraterrestrial threats.
