Dragon Ball Super Manga August 2022 Break
Dragon Ball Super is a manga series by written by Akira Toriyama and illustrated by Toyotarou. It began serialization in V Jump back in June 2015. As Dragon Ball is one of the most popular franchises in Japan, this manga received a TV anime adaptation by Toei Animation. The anime consists of 131 episodes and aired between July 2015 and March 2018. In case you’re unfamiliar, Dragon Ball Super’s story begins four years following the events of Dragon Ball Z after Goku defeated Majin Buu. In the series’ story, new foes threaten Earth’s peace, so Goku and his friends must fight once again. Unlike the original manga which had a weekly release schedule, Dragon Ball Super has a monthly serialization with breaks from time to time. The latest break happened in August 2022 after the end of the Granolah the Survivor Saga. The hiatus was announced in mid-August, the reason being that Toyotarou and Toriyama are preparing for the series’ next arc. At the time, there was no date announced for the series’ return to serialization. Now though, it’s confirmed that the manga will return this December with a new arc, with the focus being on the younger characters of the series.
