Thankfully, even the prequel trilogy’s harshest critics warmed up to Episodes I, II, and III over the years but it’s something actors like Ewan McGregor still have a hard time believing, especially after the intense resentment they received from the fandom when the trilogy started. While the star of Obi-Wan Kenobi still finds it weird that The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, and Revenge of the Sith are now being celebrated, he has long come to terms with the initial negative reception the films received. Speaking with GQ UK, the Scottish actor believes fans of the original trilogy failed to connect with the films they made because they didn’t make them feel like kids again.He explains: “think the critics just wanted to feel like they were seven or eight again, and they didn’t get that.
