Recently, a new trailer for My Life as Inukai-san’s Dog was released, and it was released along with new information about the show, including its cast and release date. The info was released via the show’s official website and Twitter account. You can watch the new trailer here: My Life as Inukai-san’s Dog (Inu ni Nattara Suki na Hito ni Hirowareta in Japanese) is an upcoming TV anime that’s based on the manga of the same name by Gosei Furukawa. The manga is serialized in Shonen Magazine R. The series follows a guy who awakens to find himself turned into the dog Pochita (not the Chainsaw Man Pochita). The dog is owned by the guy’s beautiful classmate Karen Inukai who is a major dog lover. Meanwhile, the series’ cast features:
Shūichirō Umeda as PochitaSaya Aizawa as Karen InukaiMayu Sagara as Mike NekotaniYurie Kozakai as Usagi Tsukishiro
It’s fair to say that the reactions to this isekai dog romance anime are mixed, though that might be putting it lightly. On Twitter, anime fans have expressed their shock regarding the adaptation. Why you might be wondering? Because the series is far from wholesome as it’s an ecchi comedy involving a dog with some very questionable scenes. The reactions on reddit aren’t any better either, with fans wondering why this received an anime adaptation. There are even jokes about how this is the “wrong Chainsaw Man” as the dog is called Pochita. It might even be a reference given that manga began in 2020. In case you’re still curious despite the less-than-stellar reception, My Life as Inukai-san’s Dog will premiere in January 2023.
