Based on the memoir From Scratch: A Memoir of Love, Sicily and Finding Home by Tembi Locke (who co-created and executive produced the show), From Scratch stars Zoe Saldaña as Amy Wheeler, an American student who takes her studies abroad to Sicily. While in Italy, she finds romance with chef Lino (Eugenio Mastrandrea).
As Lino and Amy build their lives together, they are faced with challenges from different backgrounds and Lino’s unexpected health problems. From Scratch comes from executive producer Reese Witherspoon, and it will surely hit you in the emotions. There’s a total of eight episodes of From Scratch that Netflix subscribers can watch now, but will there be another season coming to the streaming service? Is From Scratch Season 2 coming to Netflix?
Unfortunately, Netflix did not renew From Scratch for Season 2, so there will only be a total of eight episodes. Since Netflix designated From Scratch as a limited series, don’t expect it to have another season. Because From Scratch is based on Locke’s memoir, the story of the limited series is complete. Of course, there’s a chance that Netflix could create a continuation to the story based on a script not based on the memoir, but the chances of that happening is highly-unlikely. It’s better for limited series to end after it adapted the entire story of the book it’s based on, so fans shouldn’t expect Netflix to renew From Scratch.
