Interestingly, it looks like Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows almost redeemed Draco Malfoy in a powerful way. Although the scene has been deleted, it has been shared on YouTube and it seems to confirm that the movies could have changed the way we see Draco and properly gives him the redemption he deserves. The Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 deleted scene is from the Battle of Hogwarts where Voldemort shows off Harry’s corpse to the survivors. The scene features an extended version of Neville Longbottom’s speech and as Harry reveals that he is still alive, Draco is seen running and throwing Harry his wand.
It could have been a great way to redeem Draco Malfoy considering everything that he has been through in the films. It’s unfortunate that the movie didn’t take this particular direction with the story but we’re still glad to get a glimpse of it. Draco Malfoy was played by Tom Felton who recently reunited with Jason Isaacs, who portrayed his father Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter movies. The former Star Trek: Discovery actor attended Tom Felton’s new stage play 222: A Ghost Story and praised his former co-star for his performance. Isaacs even claims that if he didn’t love Felton so much, he would “hate him.” Tom Felton is part of the Criterion Theatre cast which includes Doctor Who star Mandip Gill, Beatriz Romilly, and Sam Swainsbury.
