It is always exciting to hear whenever a talented actress like Lynskey gets to be part of a series like this and it’s also a great surprise considering that we only found out about her casting when we saw a quick shot of her in the trailer. It is interesting to see how she’ll play into the story of the series. Based on the acclaimed video game, the series “takes place twenty years after modern civilization has been destroyed. Joel, a hardened survivor, is hired to smuggle Ellie, a 14-year-old girl, out of an oppressive quarantine zone. What starts as a small job soon becomes a brutal, heartbreaking journey, as they both must traverse the U.S. and depend on each other for survival.” Besides Lynskey, the cast also includes Pedro Pascal, Bella Ramsey, Gabriel Luna, Nick Offerman, Merle Dandridge, Nico Parker, Murray Bartlett, Jeffrey Pierce, Anna Torv, Storm Reid, and original Joel and Belle voice actors Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson, who will appear in different roles.
