The news comes from The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision newsletter which reveals that Steven Spielberg and David Zaslav recently met over lunch. They were eventually joined by The Dark Knight Rises director Christopher Nolan and DC Studios’ co-CEO Peter Safran. “On Wednesday, Warner Bros. Discovery chief David Zaslav and Steven Spielberg were having lunch at Warner Bros. commissary. Not a bad power lunch, right?” the report reads. “But then, Christopher Nolan, eating nearby, comes over to hang after his lunch wrapped. AND THEN, new co-head of DC Studios Peter Safran walked in and got to meet the whole gang.”
It’s an interesting collection of people and people are convinced that the four were out there discussing a potential DC Extended Universe project. It didn’t take long before fans began speculating on the discussion and it is now believed that Steven Spielberg could be involved in Man of Steel 2. We’re loving the idea of Steven Spielberg working on a Superman film with Henry Cavill. However, it is important to point out that nothing has been made official just yet. Nevertheless, we’ll be looking forward to updates on this story in the next few weeks. In the meantime, there are also rumors about Henry Cavill’s new roles now that he has announced his departure from The Witcher. Although it was initially believed that DC’s plans for Superman were to blame for the exit, there are speculations that Cavill decided to leave the Netflix series due to creative differences.
