As obtained by Soompi, the Korean Business Research Institute released the names of the top 30 Korean celebrities who gained much popularity. The current rankings are based on consumer participation, media activity, communication, community activity, and more from August 9 to September 9, 2022.
Lee Jung Jae and Jung Woo Sung Hailed as Top Stars in September’s Brand Reputation Rankings for Film Actors
Following the success of the espionage action movie, Lee Jung Hae took the top spot on this month’s rankings by scoring a brand reputation index of 19,372,211. Words “Hunt,” “Squid Game,” and “director” appeared as his highest-ranking related terms as well as phrases “take on a challenge,” “surpass” and “success” which pertain to his film’s achievement after hitting the 4 million mark at the box office. Hunt is Lee Jung Jae’s first directorial debut which he worked on for four years and at the height of Squid Game’s success. Seemingly, this is not the first time that Lee Jung Jae topped the brand reputation rankings as he managed to lead the monthly chart for drama actors at the height of Netflix’s Squid Game. Capping off the top three is Son Seok Koo, following the success of the action comedy film The Roundup while his co-star Ma Dong Seok lands at 29th place.
