To many, Harper’s MCU casting is a dream come true as the actor has long been on the fandom’s radar. In fact, the 42-year-old star is a favorite amongst the majority of MCU diehards to become part of the Fantastic Four reboot.Basically, the idea is since Jonathan Majors is playing Kang the Conqueror in the MCU, fans believe that an actor who’s a person of color should take the Reed Richards role since they’re biologically related in the comics. While that makes the most logical sense, some fans aren’t thrilled with the idea of Mister Fantastic potentially being racially bent in the franchise. On Twitter, the discourse over Harper’s potential role is starting to heat up as fans are divided on the idea of him being Earth-616’s “Smartest Man Alive”.
