To Your Eternity Season 2 – Fushi’s Journey Continues
To Your Eternity is an anime series that’s based on the manga of the same name by Yoshitoki Oima that’s currently serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine. The author is also known for the critically acclaimed manga, A Silent Voice. Much like her previous work, To Your Eternity received widespread critical acclaim. The manga also won the 43rd annual Kodansha Manga Awards in 2019 in the shonen category. As for the anime, its first season was produced by Brains Base and aired from April to August 2021. While it’s more than one cour, it had an atypical release schedule given its unusual 20-episode count. For Season 2, studio Drive replaced Brains Base when it comes to animation duties, with the direction being handled by Kiyoko Sayama. In its story, the series follows a boy wandering the Arctic region. He soon meets a wolf and the two become dependent on each other to survive. However, the wolf is no ordinary animal – it’s an immortal creature from outside Earth. The series then follows this immortal main character named Fushi through a long period of time as he meets various people from across cultures.
