Change has arrived for DC Studios and it is felt on a large scale following the cancellation of Wonder Woman 3 and the speculations on the recasting of the actors of Justice League, creating a fiasco online but despite that, Logan director James Mangold still expressed his interest to work on on DC project. As reported by Deadline, a source of theirs said that Logan and Indiana Jones director, James Mangold, along with Flash director Andy Muschietti, are both excited to work with DC Studios under the leadership of James Gunn and Peter Safran. Other than Logan and Indiana Song, James Mangold is known for his works The Wolverine, Cop Land, and Girl, Interrupted. Mangold’s The Wolverine and Logan are both under 20th Century Fox before the merger with Disney, and both got praises from Marvel fans.

Mangold’s style of directing involves jumping from one time point to another, de-aging technology, with sentimentality and humor balanced in between the scenes, plus a touch of violence, there are a lot of DC projects Mangold could take on should he be aboard the studio. Titles like Batman, The Spectre, or Lobo could be a great fit for Mangold to work on if he gets into DC Studios, but it all boils down to the decision of the executives whether he joins them and work on a different title. Meanwhile, with the trouble going on with DC Studios, the shake-up has been causing a stir online and the future of the DCU remains uncertain, even the actors playing the iconic characters are on the same limbo as the projects they head.
