The first season of Loki witnessed the multiverse open up to various possibilities after Sylvie finishes her grudge on He Who Remains and tons of alternate realities started to branch out after that, thus, setting up Loki Season 2 where Loki ends up at a different universe. As for Ravonna Renslayer, the judge of the Time Variance Authority who found out the truth, takes her very own journey to self-discovery which hints more to her story once Loki Season 2 arrives. Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, actress playing Ravonna Renslayer, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, teases exciting episodes coming for Loki Season 2, “It’s been amazing to shoot the second season of Loki. Fans are gonna be in for a real treat because the show is bolder and more surreal. And in many ways, goes to some bigger, bolder places than season 1, which is really exciting.”

Mbatha-Raw also shared how she is looking forward to her character’s growth in Loki Season 2, “In Loki, Ravonna is a powerful presence. Selfishly, Renslayer makes it out of the TVA, which I’m really excited about. They’re such different characters in such different worlds.” Mbatha-Raw added, “The thing that I found with Loki’s second season is everyone on the crew knows your character and I’ve never had that before, stepping onto a set where people already know your character. That’s kind of a cool feeling. So, yeah, I’m looking forward to that for Surface.” Following the progression of the Marvel Cinematic Universe towards the concept of the multiverse, Loki Season 2 could deal most with how Loki could go back to the timeline where he really belongs because he ended up in one where a variant of He Who Remains hails supreme. With He Who Remains being introduced in the MCU, a variant of his, Kang the Conqueror, is about to shake the microverse in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania where he is seen to be leading a whole nation in the Quantum Realm. Should this be the villain everyone is waiting for is still anyone’s guess. Kang the Conqueror remains to be the biggest threat coming into the MCU and the villain is said to be on a whole different level than Thanos, one which is more powerful and deceitful, and with a mind so complex, how much of a havoc could he bring in once he becomes a full-fledged villain in the franchise? Loki Season 2 is currently scheduled to release in Summer 2023.
