As it stands, we still don’t know what Depp’s next Hollywood endeavor will be but he’s reportedly gearing up for a major return to acting. A few months back, rumors circulated that he’s been offered a whopping $301 million deal to return as Jack Sparrow in Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean project. While the report was later debunked, that didn’t stop fans from continuously demanding the House of Mouse of reinstate him, years after he was unceremoniously fired from the Pirates franchise. In a shocking turn of developments, Margot Robbie revealed that her Pirates of the Caribbean project which has long been rumored to serve as an all-female reboot has been scrapped. According to the Australian star, Disney has pulled the plug on the film which has been in development since 2020.
