The Marvel Cinematic Universe continues with its promise of representation and inclusion as transgender and non-binary star Zoe Terakes joins the franchise in a mystery role in Ironheart after the first non-binary Shea Couleé are cast in the same show.
Roles Zoe Terakes previously took are Glory in Nine Perfect Strangers and Reb Keane in Wentworth. Zoe also has a background in various theater productions, even having a Helpmann nomination and being a recipient of two Sydney Theatre Awards.
Identified as a nonbinary transmasculine, Zoe Terakes is a vocal advocate of the LGBTQIA+ community. Terakes’ inclusion in the MCU could bring the star a new avenue for the platform of the 22-year-old advocate.

Zoe Terakes is cast with a secret role on Ironheart joining Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams/ Ironheart, Lyric Ross as Riri’s best friend Natalie, Anthony Ramos as The Hood, Alden Ehrenreich, Manny Montana, Harper Anthony, and Shea Couleé.
In 2020, Marvel’s Ironheart was personally announced by the big boss, Kevin Feige. Chinaka Hodge will serve as the head writer of the show and Angela Barnes and Samantha Bailey will be directing the series. Proximity is one of the producers of the series.
Marvel’s Ironheart is based on the Marvel Comic book series of the same name written by Brian Michael Bendis and illustrated by Mike Deodato. It was redesigned by Kevin Libranda and Eve Ewing.
Marvel’s Ironheart is slated for a Summer 2023 release on Disney Plus.
