However, it came as a huge shock when Marvel Studios announced that Fuhrmann won’t be playing Cassie/Stinger in Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania. The actress was replaced by Kathryn Newton of Freaky fame but the reception to her casting has been lukewarm, to say the least.Newton made an appearance during the studios’ San Diego Comic-Con panel and instead of getting hyped up, fans were only reminded of Fuhrmann and the huge opportunity taken away from her. As it stands, the reason behind her recasting has not been revealed and two years following the confirmation, MCU fans are still upset over Marvel Studios’ decision.On Twitter, fans cried justice for Fuhrmann whose acting career has yet to take off following her brief involvement in the MCU.
