Spoiler Alert: There are major spoilers for My Hero Academia Chapter 362 in this article. In the manga’s latest chapter, Katsuki Bakugo, Best Jeanist, and the U.A. Big Three are holding off Tomura Shigaraki who is being controlled by All For One. While the heroes try their best to hold off Shigaraki until Deku’s return, their efforts were not enough to prevent Shigaraki from killing Bakugo. Even with the support of the Big Three and several other Pro Heroes, All For One-Shigaraki proved to be too powerful as he takes Bakugo’s heart. And while it might seem like Bakugo may have a chance to survive at first, the chapter seemingly confirms his death as seen in several panels. Given that Bakugo is among the most popular characters in the series, his death came as a big shock to fans. The reactions have ranged from sadness, disbelief, and of course, some humor (this is the internet after all). While this shocking moment has My Hero Academia fans wondering if Bakugo is well and truly dead, it seems that his death was definitively shown in the chapter. Though there are some theories that Eri might be able to revive him. In case you need a refresher, Eri is a young girl that Deku and company rescued from Overhaul during the Shie Hassaikai Arc. Eri’s Quirk is Rewind which lets her reverse a living being’s body to a previous state. With this power, she was able to heal Deku’s injuries and even restore Mirio’s Permeation Quirk. Though a bit farfetched, her power might even be enough to revive Bakugo. Whatever the case may be, we’ll have to wait and see in the next My Hero Academia chapter which will release in two weeks in Weekly Shonen Jump and Manga Plus.
