Tokyo Revengers recently announced that a short story collection entitled Tokyo Revengers 1 So Young is releasing on August 17, 2022. The announcement was made through Comic Natalie, and it came with the reveal of the collection’s official cover: This collection features six short stories, all of which are published in full color. The reveal of the upcoming short story collection didn’t come with much info. What is confirmed is that the stories will focus on the life of the Tokyo Manji gang before the events of the manga. The report also confirmed that the stories will feature characters including Mikey, Draken, Baji, and Chifuyu. Following the Comic Natalie report, the official Tokyo Revengers Twitter account detailed some more info about the collection. In the Tweet, it was revealed that the stories will show the initial encounter between Draken and Mikey, along with the events immediately after the formation of the Tokyo Manji Gang. Tokyo Revengers is a manga series by Ken Wakui that serializes in Weekly Shonen Magazine. The series began back in March 2017 and has since become one of the most popular manga in Japan. As of July 2022, the manga has over 65 million copies in circulation. Given its success, the series received a TV anime adaptation that’s animated by Liden Films. The anime’s first season consists of 24 episodes, and it aired from April to September 2021. Tokyo Revengers Season 2 (officially entitled Tokyo Revengers: Christmas Showdown) is set to release in January 2023.
