Extraordinary Attorney Woo Musical Confirmed!
According to Korea Joongang Daily, the 16-part episode series EMK Musical Company will produce the musical and will be released globally. “EMK Musical will world premiere the musical version of Extraordinary Attorney Woo, as announced through its official social media. The said company is behind the hit musicals such as Elisabeth, Mata Hari, and The Man Who Laughs. In a separate report, EMK’s CEO and chief producer Eom Hong Hyeon shared that they have been eyeing reproducing blockbuster series like Park Eun Bin’s K-drama but were hesitant if it could be feasible for stage plays. “There were many attempts to reproduce hit drama series as musicals. But we always worry whether the long stories of TV dramas could be represented in two to three-hour stage performances.” As for the webtoon-based K-drama Extraordinary Attorney Woo, EMK believes that due to its “clear storyline” they could “expand the original a little further in a musical.” Interestingly, the Extraordinary Attorney Woo musical is set to premiere sometime in 2024. The news comes after production company ASTORY confirmed the renewal of Park Eun Bin’s K-drama.
