The highly skilled blacksmith her master is referring to is also the same old man who unexpectedly invited them to his shop. The blacksmith is a dwarf named Garrus, who holds the title of Honorary Blacksmith of Granzell. Back in the Adventurer’s Guild, he happens to witness Fran’s battle against the Red Hound and its crew, which convinces him to sell some of his wares to Fran. Fran pays 150,000 gold for Garrus’ Flame Oxhorn Dress Armor, Mithril Earrings for Cat Beastkin, Paraclaw Cat Gauntlet, and Poison Wyvern Boots. While Fran and her master are pleased with their first set of armor, Garrus, much to their surprise, informs Fran that he knows she carries an intelligent sword. Garrus explains that he has Godsight, which allows him to use appraisal even after Fran has blocked it. Garrus also informs them that Fran’s sword is extremely powerful and that she has no need to purchase more of his swords. Fran’s master, however, intervenes, stating that there are many more swords in his store that are far stronger than him. However, Garrus mentions a skill called Mana Conductivity, in which the wielder uses mana to imbue the sword, resulting in powerful strikes that are greater than the sword’s attack stats. This means that the sword is of class A and more powerful than any other sword on the market, as it can utilize an attack power of 2000 with just 1000 mana. Garrus also speculates that the sword was created by a divine blacksmith. Accordingly, only five confirmed divine blacksmiths in the world can create extraordinary weapons capable of tearing the skies and land apart. While the sword believes he is of legendary class, Garrus disappoints him by saying he is lacking in caliber. In fact, Garrus has previously seen a true legendary sword, the legendary sword of flames, Ignis. In exchange for the materials they provided, Garrus promises to make a scabbard for the sword in three days and better equipment for Fran in a month. Along the way, Fran is enticed by her master to purchase some undergarments. After buying everything she personally needs, Fran needs to purchase some spices and cooking equipment for their adventure. Fran goes to a general store called Saber-Tooth. There, they encounter Rufus, a former intermediate adventurer now turned merchant. From spices to tableware, Rufus has them all. Next, Fran and her master look for a decent inn to stay at. Thanks to Fran’s adventurer card, they get to stay in the inn even if Fran is a minor. For the first time in her life, Fran is surprised to find an incredible room where she can stay. As a result of seeing Fran happy, the sword becomes emotional. This prompted him to promise to keep an eye on Fran and protect her as she evolves in the future. Thereafter, Fran’s master prepares his special fried chicken and curry with spices from another world for dinner. Now that Fran is full, the sword suggests a strategic meeting to discuss where he should spend his evolution points in the future. After being impressed by Donadrond’s healing magic, the two of them agree to spend it on their recovery magic. An army of goblins and hobgoblins is preparing to attack a cave while Fran and her master sleep for the night. Fran receives mundane tasks from the Adventurer’s Guild the following day. As a G-rank adventurer, Fran can only gather herbs and slay Level 3 goblins. Suddenly, Fran hears a commotion nearby where adventurers are fighting a large number of hobgoblins. Fran enters battle mode to assist the adventurers. She uses earth magic, as instructed by her master after her fire magic begins to burn the forest. Fran not only easily defeated the hobgoblins, but she also healed the adventurers with recovery magic. As an added bonus, Fran leveled up to four. The adventurers warn Fran that a Goblin Stampede is a possibility due to the presence of hobgoblins in the area. The Goblin Stampede is regarded as a threat to humanity due to its devastating strength in invading cities in search of food. While the adventurers flee to inform the guild, Fran fights the newly arrived goblin reinforcements. Fran has progressed from Level 4 to Level 8 by defeating some of the goblins. However, more goblins appear to fight Fran. While her master wishes to retreat, Fran is adamant that she will not back down.
