This month, the billion-dollar franchise is set to premiere its latest animated show Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi which chronicles the origin stories of some of our favorite characters from a galaxy far, far away.Disney (via The Direct) has officially announced the list of actors who are going to be part of the exciting new project. The star-studded ensemble includes Ashley Eckstein, Corey Burton, and prequel trilogy actors Liam Neeson and Ian McDiarmid. Shockingly enough, Samuel L. Jackson won’t be voicing Mace Windu in the series despite previous speculation and it turns out that TC Carson, who has voiced the Jedi Master in several Star Wars media was tapped to portray Windu.Also Read: Star Wars Officially Confirms Return of Mace WinduConsidering Jackson’s prequel trilogy co-stars are returning for the project, it’s a shame that Lucasfilm wasn’t able to secure the beloved actor. It’s worth noting though that Samuel is still tied to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and his packed schedule might have prevented him from making his triumphant Star Wars comeback. But hey, there’s still a possibility of him reprising the role in live-action, right? We’re definitely keeping our fingers crossed!Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi will begin streaming on October 26, exclusively on Disney+.
