Now, it looks like we will finally get out very first look at the upcoming film soon as the New York Comic Con has announced that the teaser trailer for the Super Mario Bros. animated movie is set to unveil this October 6 at 4:00 pm ET on the convention. You can check their announcement tweet here:
Besides Pratt, the cast also includes Anya Taylor-Joy (as Peach), Charlie Day (as Luigi), Jack Black (as Bowser), Keegan-Michael Key (as Toad), Seth Rogen (as Donkey Kong), Fred Armisen (as Cranky Kong), Kevin Michael Richardson (as Kamek), Sebastian Maniscalco (as Foreman Spike), and original Mario voice actor Charles Martinet in an undisclosed cameo role. With the divisive responses to the casting of Pratt as Mario, there has been a lot of curiosity about the project as people are interested to see what this film will look like and what kind of story they have in store. However, on the bright side, Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto is involved as one of the producers and has creative input on the film. The upcoming teaser trailer will be our very first look at Pratt’s voicework as Mario and it may finally answer some of the skepticism on his casting whether it actually works or not.
