The news was confirmed recently by Netflix in a recent report. There, it was revealed that the second part of the new Seven Deadly Sins film will be released simultaneously worldwide, just like the first part.
The Seven Deadly Sins Film Project, Cast
Fans of The Seven Deadly Sins probably already know that the series’ story has concluded over two years ago with the release of the manga’s final chapter in March 2020. The anime series also reached the end of the story last June 2021 with the finale of the fifth season. This makes The Seven Deadly Sins one of the few anime series to fully adapt its source material. Despite the anime series ending last year, the series continues to get new content in the form of anime movies, with the latest being the Grudge of Edinburgh film duology. As the manga has already ended, this new film duology does not adapt any part of the manga. Rather, it is based on a new story that’s written by series creator Nakaba Suzuki. Instead of taking place at some point during the manga/anime’s story, this film happens over a decade after the main story’s ending. Specifically, the film follows Tristan, the son of Meliodas, the main character of the series. The film sees Tristan struggling with the powers of his parents.
