Will Kara Killmer’s Sylvie, as she was in past seasons, gain the same level of spotlight? Or is she the most recent member of the main cast to permanently part ways with the iconic firehouse drama?
Is Sylvie Brett Leaving Chicago Fire Season 11?
Sylvie’s connections to Chicago Fire were strengthened in Season 11, and new plots were also introduced. There were hints that Killmer had no intention of permanently leaving Chicago Fire. Killmer never gave interviews outlining his reasons for leaving the cast, in contrast to his fellow cast members. All of the aforementioned claims, however, come with a substantial qualification. After all, this is Chicago Fire. This has always been a show where the primary cast members are in danger. And those dangers aren’t necessarily as ambiguous as relocating a character to Portland. Killmer’s continued appearance on the show and Sylvie’s new lease on life could terminate at any moment. A significant Chicago Fire Season 11 finale is still to come. While Sylvie gives off every indication that she will return to the show’s regular rotation, viewers should hold their breath until the season is through.
Chicago Fire Fans Express Concerns
Fans of Chicago Fire were disappointed to see Spencer, one of the few original cast members left, exit from the One Chicago franchise. Killmer’s absence from the show for much of Season 10 inevitably fueled concern about her future. According to Hello Magazine, people expressed a strong desire to see more of Sylvie. But when the character was transported to Portland to live with Matthew, it appeared that the problem was sealed. Despite how much spectators disliked it, her plot seemed to come to a natural conclusion. Fears of Being Written Off
Throughout Chicago Fire Season 10, Sylvie wasn’t frequently visible. Firefighter Matthew Casey (Jesse Spencer), who was her boyfriend, was fired from the program. Spencer was just prepared to put his family first at that point, having worked in network television for 18 years. Unfortunately, that meant the loss of a beloved character and original cast member for viewers of the One Chicago series. Another beloved cast member’s character was also endangered by it. Matthew and Sylvie finished off Season 9 by getting married. That brought to a close an arc that had begun in Season 3. All indications led to Sylvie being written off as well because her on-screen momentum was so closely related to her connection with Matthew.
