The anime’s new song was revealed alongside the release of the creditless opening on Tokyo Revengers’ official channels. While the song was finally previewed for fans, it has yet to be released in full by the band.
Higedan Anime Songs
Official HiGE DANDISM (or Higedan for short) is one of the most popular contemporary Japanese pop bands. While the band was formed back in 2012, it got a massive boost in popularity in 2018 with its song “No Doubt.” Anime fans are also likely familiar with Higedan as they have provided songs for various anime titles over the past couple of years. In 2022, the band was tapped to perform the first Spy x Family opening song “Mixed Nuts,” quickly becoming a big hit. Though even before Spy x Family, Higedan was already popular for the first season of Tokyo Revengers. Specifically, the band performed the first season’s opening song “Cry Baby,” one of the band’s most-listened-to songs on Spotify. What also makes it memorable is that the song was used as the opening for all 24 episodes of the first season. Typically, two-cour anime shows such as Tokyo Revengers Season 1 have two opening songs – one for each cour. Given that Higedan’s music is synonymous with the series for many fans, it’s no surprise to see the band back for season 2. There are other anime titles that Higedan provided songs for though. These include the 2019 anime film Hello World along with the TV anime Hinomaruzumou. RELATED: Tokyo Revengers Season 2 Reveals Disney+ January Premiere
