From the start, Dr. Georgina Stanton seems a bit off and this went on until the end of The Midnight Club but the finale reveals a part of her that she kept hidden until the last second: a tattoo of the Paragon’s sign on her nape. She isn’t Aceso, that’s for sure, so is she Athena?
Who is Dr. Georgina Stanton in Netflix’s The Midnight Club?

Is Dr. Georgina Stanton Athena in The Midnight Club?
Following the narrative about the Paragon in the fifth episode of The Midnight Club, there were only two members of the cult who remained alive: Regina Ballard who called herself as Aceso and led the cult, and Regina’s daughter, Athena, who escaped and freed the children to the woods. Yes, Dr. Stanton may actually be Athena considering Regina lived in the suburbs for the rest of her life where Julia Jayne found her and Regina taught Julia what to do to get her healed. If that was Regina, it is fully possible that Stanton is Athena. Athena watched how her mother, Regina, fell into an obsession with Aceso and she wrote a journal about it, the one which Ilonka found at the library. Athena couldn’t take the rituals of her mother, she called in the authorities to stop the rituals of Aceso but was too late. See, Regina went too far – she killed all the members of the Paragon, seemingly as an accident, but actually as a ritual to fully heal her by poisoning everyone, all but Athena who managed to escape with the children. The reveal of Dr. Stanton possibly being Athena makes total sense considering it is also her who stopped Shasta, or Julia Jayne in real life, in performing the same ritual Aceso did and led to the death of the four others. Stanton knew that the drink was poisoned, in time to save Ilonka. Do you think Dr. Stanton is actually Athena? The Midnight Club is now streaming on Netflix.
