Will There Be Black Panther 3?
To date, there is still no confirmation yet whether the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be having Black Panther 3 but VP of Production and Development of Marvel Studios, Nate Moore, revealed to Collider that they initially had plans to make a threequel for the title. When Nate Moore was asked about the alternate titles for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, he noted that there were hundreds of ideas that went through the mind of the whole team but he said, “We realized that Wakanda Forever felt right, because it’s a story about triumph through adversity.” Moore expounded more on what Black Panther: Wakanda Forever stands for, “It’s a story about legacy, it’s a story about persistence, and Wakanda Forever says all those things.”

While discussing, Moore even revealed that it was supposed to be the title of the third movie, “Initially, I will say this, at one point it was like, “Oh, that feels like the title of the third movie. Where do you go from Wakanda Forever? That feels like it’s the end.” But no, actually it felt really appropriate thematically to the story we were trying to tell.” It wasn’t easy for Nate Moore and the rest of the team of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever to change their plans following the death of Chadwick Boseman but given that the world continues to spin, they decide to pick up their pace and reshape the narrative for something better. No one even dared to bat an eye to recast Chadwick Boseman because they know how much the actor brought life to T’Challa and what legacy he gave to the character, especially to people who looked up to him as the Black Panther. Instead, the team decided to keep everything Chadwick Boseman brought to the franchise and found a new way to continue with their plans for T’Challa by introducing his son to the franchise who has the same name as his. Through this, they could honor the legacy that Boseman left, all at the same time, the narrative continues, even with a small delay, but hey, Shuri is now the Black Panther and she earned it even all the grief that she had to go through, and now, a successor waits in line for time to catch up. Should there be a Black Panther 3, it may possibly happen after Phase Six, following the end of the Multiverse Saga but with a promising new start with T’Challa, son of Nakia and T’Challa, the doors to the future is never closed for the title to be a threequel. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is now showing in theaters worldwide.
