Daniel Cudmore played Colossus in the X-Men trilogy and in X-Men: Days of Future Past and while he is replaced by Stefan Kapičić in Deadpool, Cudmore remains open to reprising his role as Colossus in Avengers: Secret Wars as he positively replied to a fan who asked him such question. While it turned out to be a random comment on Instagram an anniversary greeting post to his wife, Cudmore, himself, personally answered the comment of the fan who asked whether he would be back as Colossus in Avengers: Secret Wars saying, “If they ask me, absolutely!” Meanwhile, Stefan Kapičić is poised to return as Colossus in Deadpool 3 this coming 2024 alongside Ryan Reynolds as the titular Merc with a Mouth and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, following his role as the X-Men member since the start of the trilogy.

Still, this does not discount the possibility of Daniel Cudmore to be back as Colossus. See, the opening of the multiverse in the MCU gave way to variants coming into the picture and this has been perfectly depicted in Loki where one character could have tens, or hundreds, or thousands of versions of themselves existing in another reality. That being said, this opens the possibility for Stefan Kapičić’s Colossus and Daniel Cudmore’s Colossus to perfectly co-exist with each other whilst being under the same franchise. Should this happen, it would be a total service to all those who look forward to the arrival of the X-Men in the MCU. Avengers: Secret Wars is set to come out on May 1, 2026 in theaters.
